So, if ever I spoke of dying in reference to not updating, I had no idea what I was saying.
Three months? That's nothing. What a joke. Now, sixteen months, that's website!death for you.
Only, here I am, bringing it back, so doesn't such an attempt at revival downgrade it to merely an absurdly extensive hibernation? I say yes.
I can't believe there was a time, way back when, when I could update, like, every couple of weeks or so. But that was at least four or five years back. I've missed two of my webbie's birthdays. I'm so sorry. *pets website*
Anyways, I understand that the whole fannish graphics website craze has definitely died down, but I mean, Photoshop's still a great way to kill time (when I get some free, which is rare -- often I make it when I can't afford to do) so I do still poke around, occasionally. Although looking back, I'm embarrassed by the stuff I thought was acceptable to post -- still, I don't plan to take it down. Keeping it there will, I hope, help me feel better that I've maybe improved at least just a little (okay, not really, but whatever

).
So, I've semi-moved on, and created a
personal portfolio type site (actually, part of this was my art final exam). Now that that's passed, though, I'll be to putting whatever I want in it.

I hate the layout, though, so I'll work on something new, maybe do a proper painted one in PS or something, instead of a silly, collagesque thing.
So why haven't I moved completely? Fan graphics and LJ icons will remain here. That's just for drawings, photos, writing, etc., but I'll still post any graphics I get the chance to make (no matter how ugly

) here. I confess, when I do open up PS, it's mostly to make icons.
Speaking of which, let's get on to the update.
I nearly forgot: New layout. Actually, I put it up probably close to a year ago, at least eight months or so, but since the site was hibernating, you haven't seen it yet.

I've been adding icons here and doubling that as a way to host them when I post them on the
creations journal that
Lea and I run together. chances are, too, that there may show up a few more there than do here.
So I cannot recall what I'd uploaded by last post, but there should be a multitude of Patrick Wolf ones and probably some others, and I broke the musicians and actors categories down into individual names (provided there are more than, say, 10 icons of him, enough to make it worth it), because they were accumulating at an unacceptable speed, and became a little tedious to scroll through (this is one thing I hate about using small content areas in my sites -- maybe next time we'll go back to a proper one).

The first three are all Torchwood, after I got back into the series when Children of Earth aired this July. First is an obscenely simple little thing of Captains Jack Harkness and John Hart, the most awesome of all awesome people ever to walk this planet (or any other in the Universe[s]).

Their relationship is epic and full of general badassery, so I had to make a little tribute to them. I have high hopes for them in series four. (To be honest, I just didn't know what to add to it, so it stayed like this -- largely blank, and simple.)
Next is a quite spoilerific piece, although since the miniseries has aired in this country, too, now, I don't know that it still counts as spoiler. But consider yourself warned. I couldn't help but do a mourning wallpaper (yes, for my own desktop -- selfish me. x]) to honour Ianto's death, which is al a very noble idea, unti I used Three Doors Down lyrics on it.

I couldn't help it; it just came up in my iTunes while I was making the graphic, and I was all "ahh, this is kind of perfect," and then debated it in my head a while: musical merit versus artistic. Musical lost.
Third is another very quick piece (and another where I didn't know what else to add, so I gave up and called it done) of just Captain John himself, with a quote by himself about his current and Jack's former life. I suppose this is really just a character piece.
Fourth is some actress, I expect -- I started this ages ago, forgot about it, and then refound it whilst cleaning out my folders, hence the unfinished feel. The lyrics are from Kosheen's "Hungry," and honestly, I've no idea what I was trying to accomplish in this piece.

Last is a very simple blend of Robin Hood from the eponymous BBC series. Great television? No, but entertaining. This one had was a December calendar until I cropped that out to make it suitable for webliness. Text is from the same song as the previous piece, although I suppose such a gift would indeed be useful in the upholding of justice. x]
Anyways, that's all, folks! Quite disappointing for over a year away, yes? Well I'm sure I'll be uncovering stuff all the time, so there are probably a few I missed that will appear soon enough.
Also, I may or may not re-enable comments, see if that backfires on me again, until I get a new news script. Any suggestions for a good PHP news script will be more than appreciated.
